Cherowon is the most famous wintering site for cranes in East Asia.

This trip is designed to focus on cranes near DMZ area for 2 days. If you want, we can do it in a day. But a 2-day trip is highly recommended.
- The one-ay tour focuses on two species of cranes. It involves more travel time and less birdwatching. You'll see 25-35 species of birds.
- The two-day tour combines stops at the fantastic habitats between Seoul and Cheorwon to see the many kinds of birds. Furthermore, on the second day, seeing hundreds of cranes rising from their slumber on the ice at dawn is a unique experience. You'll see 50-70 species of birds.
- This Trip starts and ends in Seoul.
- Included in the cost: lunch(or all meals for the 2-day trip), accommodation (for the 2-day trip,) bottled water, transportation, all park entrance fees, and the services of a bird guide.
- Not included in the cost: insurance, drinks, tips, and items of a personal nature.

Paju & Cheorwon
: From Seoul, you'll head west to see geese, vultures, and Eurasian spoonbills near the Paju DMZ before heading to Cheorwon. After lunch, we'll birdwatch on the Cheorwon Plains, focusing on two species of cranes: the red-crowned crane and the white-naped crane.
< 2-Day Trip >
Day 1 - Han River Upstream ~ Cheorwon
In the morning, Birding in the upper reaches of the Han River to see Steller's sea eagles and Scaly-sided Merganser. You'll birdwatch at the wetland park near Paldang Dam, focusing on a variety of waterfowl, woodpeckers, and buntings. In the late afternoon, you'll travel two hours to Cheorwon, ending your first day by watching the cranes return to their roosts at sunset.
Day 2 Cheorwon
At dawn, you'll witness cranes waking up on the ice of the reservoir, along with tens of thousands of geese flying in unison. As you explore the Cheorwon Plains, you'll look for two or three more species of cranes, in addition to the red-crowned crane and white-naped crane. You'll also have the opportunity to see various birds of prey. After seeing enough cranes, the tour concludes in the late afternoon with a search for cranes near the Paju DMZ.
